NEW EUROPEAN REGULATIONS 2021 – Energy labeling Regulation 2019/2015
Starting from 1 September 2021, the EU energy label classification system uses the scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) based on the amount of energy consumed.
The guidelines refer only to light sources and ballasts, rather than lamps and LED modules.
NEW CATEGORIZATION: Light source and Container product
A light source as defined in the new regulations is an electrically operated product intended to emit daylight in a warm white spectrum. It can be a lamp, module or luminaire with fully integrated components.
A “container product” is a product that contains one or more separate light sources or power supplies or both. It must be possible to remove the light source without permanent damage using commonly available tools. C LUCE luminaires are all “container products”.
No energy label may be placed on the packaging of the luminaires or in the documentation contained in the packaging. This applied for all luminaires which are placed on the market since 25 December 2019.
